CSCE 2012 Conference News
Volunteer recruitment for CSCE 2012 is now in full swing! Please fill out a volunteer registration form today

Founded in 1887 by prominent Civil Engineers in Canada, the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) is a learned society intended to develop and maintain high standards of civil engineering practice in Canada and to enhance the public image of the civil engineering profession. The Society has local non-profit Sections across Canada, of which the Edmonton Section is one, which provide regular technical programs, supplemented with special technical workshops and seminars of interest to the civil engineering community.

Why be a Member with the CSCE Edmonton Section?

The Edmonton Section has been a vibrant local section of the CSCE over the years. The Section has been actively involved in developing a diverse program encompassing several disciplines and projects of interest to civil engineers within the Edmonton and Northern Alberta regions.

The Section lines up at least 7 unique and informative technical presentations at our monthly dinner meetings scheduled for the third Thursday of the month (September to April) at the University of Alberta Faculty Club. With the initiation of the CSCE Edmonton Student Chapter at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in 2008, the Section also offers technical lunch presentations at the NAIT campus.

Apart from the technical presentations, the Edmonton Section offers other professional development activities such as Site Tours, CSCE National Lecture Tour, Networking Mixers, and Symposium/ Workshops in partnership with other technical societies on a yearly basis.
